Largest brewery in the country

The Japanese-American Beam Suntory, the world's third largest manufacturer of distillates, behind the English Diageo and the French Pernod Ricard, closed an agreement with Ambev, the country's largest beer manufacturer, for the distribution of its portfolio in Brazil.

The agreement with Ambev is the second closed by the company in less than a year. From 2015 until July 2019, the portfolio was imported and sold by Bacardi. From then on, Beam Suntory took over the operation in the country. In July last year, however, she announced an agreement with Cia. Müller, owner of cachaça 51, for distribution of Teacher's whiskey in states in the Midwest, South and Southeast regions.

 Distribution network

Since the second half of December, Ambev has started selling and delivering Beam Suntory products at points in the states of São Paulo, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul and the Northeast region. Beam Suntory, in turn, will maintain direct service to the main national and regional customers through its distribution network. Ambev has also been distributing Red Bull energy drinks since the second half of 2019, in addition to producing and distributing Pepsi products in Brazil.
