According to data from the National Jobs Bank - BNE, they point to a 154% growth in the search for resumes for vacancies in packaging and paper factories in 2020, in Brazil. Last year, from January to October, 1.313 companies were searched for resumes of professionals in the area. Already this year, there were 3.348 searches carried out.
Social isolation
For Marcelo de Abreu, CEO of Banco Nacional de Empregos – BNE, the packaging sector saw an increase in the search for resumes due to the large number of sales in e-commerce and delivery. “The Covid-19 pandemic generated a great change in the behavior of companies and consumers. Due to social isolation and face-to-face shops behind closed doors, consumers migrated their consumption to online platforms, thus stimulating the growth of the sector”, he says.
BNE data also show that, this year, February and July were the months that had the most searches for resumes “These are periods that marked the beginning of the year and the resumption of trade after the easing of isolation”, concludes Marcelo.
