The novelty hits the market
In the week that celebrates Beer Day, Beck's announces the launch of a limited edition with more bitter flavors: the Beck's Starter Pack. The novelty hits the market this Friday (7/8). The brand's proposal is to “unlock the bitterness in the Brazilian palate”, showing that, for Beck's, “the more bitter, the better”.
Beck's is known for its IBU (International Bitterness Unit) superior to other premium segment labels on the market. “Beck's is a beer that questions the status quo, starting with the beer market. Therefore, in our first celebration of Beer Day in Brazil, we want to propose a sensorial experience that will unlock a new perception and relationship between the public and the beer universe”, explains Felipe Hatab, Beck's marketing director in Brazil.

It all starts with and evolution of taste. Consumers will be provoked into a sensory journey that will prepare them for Beck's taste, more bitter and sophisticated. And this challenge takes place in a pack format, with several Ambev labels.
The Beck's Starter Pack is made up of six scaled bottles of IBU-Skol (8), Bohemia (9), Budweiser (10), Brahma Extra Lager (13), Stella Artois (16) and Beck's, which reaches level 20. The labels, except for Beck's, feature the IBU prominently and each brand's logo.
“In recent years, Brazilians have become increasingly interested in everything that involves the beer universe, from the choice of ingredients to the different recipes”, says Alexandre Esber, brewer at Beck's. “The IBU shows us the level of bitterness in the beer and each consumer has a different taste and preferences. Taste is a matter of habit. It is a construction based on the experimentation and stimuli that that beer awakens in each person and, once developed, it does not go back. Therefore, a pack like this contributes to the expansion of the repertoire, while offering the beer lover an opportunity to prepare their palate for new flavors and experiences within the brewing universe”, he adds.
