Innovative pot takes the contents of the package to the last drop

Innovative packaging

Possibly you've had a hard time trying to get the rest of mayonnaise from the bottom of the jar or trying to use the very end of the toothpaste inside the tube. A large part of the packaging that we use in cooking or in intimate hygiene in our daily lives ends up collaborating with waste, since we are unable to remove all the content from its interior.

To end this problem, an American company created the Liquid Glide, a technique that promises to remove all the contents of the package to the last drop, without leaving any residue.

The technique consists of adding a new layer of an innovative material to the inner surface of the pot. Thus, the material allows the contents of the package to slide out more easily, acting as if it were a lubricant. In this way, virtually any liquid does not stick to the packaging, thus avoiding waste.

See in the videos below what this material is capable of doing:

Initially, this project was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the United States, by Professor Kripa Varanasi and his students. But later, seeing the potential of this creation, they ended up creating a company dedicated only to this project. The product is not yet available on the market.
